The Fifth playing of the RyDov Cup saw Team Duncan, Captained by Denis Duncan, challenge Team Hedges following their win in 2018. It also so an increase in the size of the field to 20 players and had the first international player in Curly van Spaendonck, from belgium, play.

Van Spaendonck was joined by Jim Robertson, Gary Seath, Graeme Connor and Paul McLachlan as the 2019 rookie class.

In a strange turn of events Team Hedges was the first team to be captained by the Vice Captain on the day due to John Hedges having to withdraw from the match.

The morning singles got off to a great start for Team Hedges with 4&2 and 4&3 wins in the first two matches. Scott Hardie followed this up in match 3 with a 2&1 win to make the score 3 v 0 to Team Hedges.

However match 4 saw Kinross members David Hutcheson and William McColgan face off against each other and Team Duncan's Hutcheson recorded a 4&2 win to stop the rot. Andy love followed this up with a 2 Up win to pull Team Duncan back to 3 v 2. Stand in Captain Stephen Hedges stopped the rot for Team Hedges in match 6 halved his match with Stuart Allan to keep his team in front.

The bottom order for Team Duncan however delivered 3 out of 4 points and in some resounding fashion. Brannan recorded a 4&3 win and Captain Duncan a 6&4 win. Greig Baxter won 2&1 and Gary Seath won the lone point in the bottom of the order for Team Hedges with a 1 Up win.

After the morning singles the match was finally poised on 5.5 v 4.5 in favour of Team Duncan. It is the closest result in the history of RyDov Cup singles and set the match up perfectly for an exciting afternoon.

The first match off was a replica of the morning as Green & McColgan took on their opponents in the morning and buoyed by two strong wins were the bookies favourite. However the results was further from the truth, Kinnear/van Spaendonck were 6 Up at the turn and held on despite a fightback from Green/McColgan for a 4&2 win.

Stuart Allan partnered David Hutcheson for Team Duncan in match two and they proved too strong for Hardie/McColgan taking Team Duncan to 9.5 points, 1 short needed to win the Cup.

The final match was wrapped up by the 15th hole with McLachlan/Seath winning 5&4 over Baxter Love. This left the match at 9.5 v 6.5 and the outcome of the Cup would fall on matches 4 and 5.

Match 4 saw Captain Duncan partner Ryan Strachan take on Captain Hedges partner Graeme Connor. The match was perfectly poised with no one team really taking it by the scruff of the neck. The match came up the 18th All square with Duncan/Strachan knowing a half was enough to win the Cup. After great approach into 18 by Strachan Denis Duncan stood over a put to win the match and the Cup and as the putt dropped he became the first challenging Captain to win the cup from a defending Captain.

The final match was won on the 18th green as well with Robertson/Peck beating Brannan/Sutherland.

The final outcome of the match meant that Kevin Brannan became the only player in RyDov Cup history with 100% record on winning the cup, lifting it 5 times in 5 appearances.
