

2024 Carnegie Cup: EuroDov Tour dominate at the Dora
The Carnegie Cup is unique on the EuroDov Tour rota. Firstly, it’s the only co-sanctioned event on the Tour, the event is a collaboration between the SanWedge Tour and the EuroDov Tour that pits Tour v Tour, for the spoils of the Carnegie Cup and the bragging rights for the remainder of the season.
In 2024 there are 7 SanWedge Tour players who also hold EuroDov Tour membership adding to the spice of the event.
The first iteration of the tournament was in 2023 as EuroDov Tour hosted the SanWedge Tour at Burntisland Golf House Club. The EuroDov Tour won out 13.5-10.5 in what was hailed an overwhelmingly successful tournament.

Held for the first time in 2023 the Carnegie Cup sees the best of the EuroDov Toru take on the SanWedge Tour.
In this our first article on the 2024 event we’re going to focus on the SanWedge Tour. Hosting – for the first time in 2024 – they are looking for revenge after losing 13.5 – 10.5 in 2023.
So, let’s start at the top, their Captain in 2024, Richard Mair. Very well known to EuroDov Tour aficionados he is a 3-time event winner on the EuroDov Tour.

Carnegie Cup 2023: EuroDov Tour win the Battle of Burntisland
It felt like summer had truly landed at Burntisland House Golf club this past Sunday as the EuroDov Tour arrived, not for the scheduled Dodhead Invitational – which takes place on June 4th – but the Carnegie Cup.
The Carnegie Cup was announced in February as the first ever co-sanctioned event between the EuroDov Tour and the SanWedge Tour.

Carnegie Cup 2024: McColgan leads qualifying players for EuroDov Tour
In its efforts to continue to deliver innovative and exciting competitions for the membership the EuroDov Tour ventured into its first co-sanctioned event in 2023.
The Carnegie Cup saw a field of 12 EuroDov Tour players, led by Captain Kevin Brannan, face off against 12 players from the SanWedge Tour. The result of the match ended in a 13.5-10.5 win for the EuroDov Tour, in a match that ended closer than many had predicted.
Now the 2023 season is all wrapped up let’s take a look at the qualifying players for the 2024 Carnegie Cup.

Carnegie Cup: EuroDov Tour Team 2023
Following the announcement of the 2023 Carnegie Cup squad EuroDov Reporter brings you a run down of the team, their Tour credentials and some of the interesting dynamics that Captain Kevin Brannan will face in putting together his afternoon pairings.
The 12 man squad boasts 5 founding members of the Tour, 5 out of 6 of the Tour’s Major winners with a total of 14 Major’s between them. The squad collectivly has 42 Tour honours amongst them and all players hail from the Top 15 in the official Tour Rankings.

EuroDov Tour back Brannan for 2024
There is nothing like sitting in the media tent after a successful event trying to file your copy and the From the Locker Room boys are in the corner betting on who can chip the ball in the wastepaper basket then getting the message that EuroDov HQ are making an announcement.
So here I am, after navigating the FTLR team and their verbal assaults, in the press centre awaiting the EuroDov Tour hierarchy to appear and deliver the news that, apparently, could not wait.
There has been a lot of rumours swirling this week, even in the build up to the Carnegie Cup, that the Tour were ready to announce the 2024 Captain and the selection criteria in the immediate aftermath of the event.

The Carnegie Cup is always a fun break from the EuroDov Tour coverage, a moment to put aside personal glory and rivalry on Tour and come together for unified glory.
As the rain thumped down across the course, it was great to see the unity in the EuroDov Tour team as they lifted the Cup for the second year in a row.
It was a team effort out there from scoring points, to supporting team mates as the rain soaked to the skin – a real collective endeavour to get the job done.
We’ve sat done with Kevin Brannan at the end of all his greatest moments on Tour but there was a real sense this one was different.

The EuroDov Tour continues to innovate in it’s offering to its members and the Carnegie Cup seems to be a resounding success by all involved.
The From the Locker Room Team were granted unfettered access to the team throughout the build up and the event and a huge thanks goes to the Tour and the Captain.

Fresh off our new year scrub down the team at From the Locker Room got out and about to catch-up with some of the EuroDov Carnegie Cup Team.
The inaugural event will take place on 28th May and the will be the first time the EuroDov Tour faces off against non-Tour players.

FTLR: Love unveiled as 2025 Captain and new selection criteria
As the dust settles - or everyone dries out may be more appropriate - from the 2024 Carnegie Cup the EuroDov Tour have announced Andy Love as the 2025 EuroDov Tour Captain for the Carnegie Cup.
We caught up with him to get his thoughts ahead of the 2025 event and to learn about the new selection criteria that is sure to make up coming events that little bit more exciting.
Founded in 2023 the Carnegie Cup is the only co-sanctioned event on the EuroDov Tour.
The event sees 12 EuroDov Tour players compete against 12 players from the SanWedge Tour. EuroDov Tour selection policy is determined by the Tour Captain.
The event features 6 Foursomes and 12 singles matches with the winners taking home the Carnegie Cup.
