The EuroDov Tour have today released a statement on the upcoming Anstruther Medal due to be played on March 28th, David McColgan, Secretary of the Tour said, “following the announcement by the Scottish Government on February 23rd and subsequent communications by the Scottish Golf Union, the Tour has taken the decision to postpone the first playing of the Anstruther Medal on March 28th.
At this time, we cannot guarantee the ability to play the format of the Medal and as such have taken the time ahead of the date to reschedule. The tournament will now be held on Sunday 1st August 2021 still to be played at Anstruther Golf Club.
The Tour understands that the new date may result in conflicts for some players and is working to identify a suitable solution with these players and potential reserves.
It is unfortunate that the tournament cannot be played as planned but the rescheduling allows the tournament to remain on the 2021 schedule and it will re-take it’s place at the beginning of the season for 2022 when the tournament is scheduled to take place on Sunday 3rd April.”
